On June 9th we had a speaker who asked us the question “Do you still need this medicine”? Medicine reviews provide insights on uses, side effects, interaction with other medicines and understanding overall effectiveness of medications we are taking.
As we get older and see many different doctors or even one doctor but taking many medications, it is quite often a fact that we do not need all the medications that have been prescribed and in some cases may counteract the desired effects of others. If you are seening more than one doctor or even if only seening one doctor with multiple medicines it is a good idea to have a medicine review to make sure that all of them are still required or if there could be negative interactions between current medication and any new ones.
