The Wilson Centre Seniors’ Advisory Association, was formed to promote and develop the well-being of senior citizens (“Seniors”) in the community of Port Coquitlam by advocating, promoting and fund-raising, and by advising the City of the direction for programs for seniors. In addition to being advocates for programming and reducing social isolation for seniors, the Board raises funds that go back to the seniors’ community through Port Coquitlam Farmers’ Market Coupons, Christmas hampers and other community initiatives and social events.
- All members of the Board are also Wilson Seniors members and are themselves seniors.
- The Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month from September to June taking off the months of July and August.
- Any group or individual wishing to address the Board must submit a request in writing to be placed on the Board’s Agenda.
