Thank you to the Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam

We do not do our work alone and we are fortunate to have the support and help from other organizations in Port Coquitlam. On behalf of the Board, I just sent the following letter to the Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam who work hard to support senior in this city.

Dear Friends:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Thank you for your recent donation to The Wilson Centre Seniors’ Advisory Association, to help sponsor our seniors’ brunch during the Seniors’ Week activities. Your generosity and financial support enable the Association to fulfill its mandate to promote and develop the well-being of seniors in the Port Coquitlam community through our many recreational, educational and support programs. Through the new Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC), (formerly the Wilson Centre), the Association provides a number of resources and programs, specifically geared to seniors, to foster a sense of community and to help seniors lead a full and healthy life. The majority of these programs are supported by the volunteer efforts of other seniors, to enable all of the involved seniors to remain connected and a vital part of our community.

For example, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, senior volunteers and PCCC staff are routinely checking in via telephone with the senior members of the Association to ensure their basic needs are being met during these uncertain times. While COVID-19 may cause delay or postponement of Seniors’ Week activities this year, please be assured that your donated funds will be held by the Association until such time as we are able to schedule a live event.

Financial support from individuals and organizations such as you help make our programs a success. Thank you for caring.

Sincerely,

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS of THE WILSON CENTRE SENIORS’ ADVISORY ASSOCIATION

Royce Shook, President
