Our new Port Coquitlam Community Center opened on Tuesday with a bang. The response to the public as they toured the facility and the Wilson Lounge, in particular, were positive.
The Board members and I were situated in Wilson Lounge and watched as we saw our regular members come past and potentially new members pick up “What’s Up Wilson” brochures for ideas on what they can find to do in the coming months.
I stayed in the Lounge on the next 3 days and talked to numerous “mature” citizens most of whom joined as a member. I look forward to seeing them at the end of October when we have our first welcome tea for newbies and celebrate birthdays and life in general.
I would also like to congratulate the 10 winners of the one-year membership in Wilson Seniors sponsored by the Wilson Centre Seniors’ Advisory Board.
