WILSON SENIORS’ CENTRE SENIORS ADVISORY ASSOCIATION ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING October 18, 2017 President Anne Huntley called the Annual General Meeting to order at 1207, with 24 members at.Wilson Centre.
Anne welcomed the members in attendance and introduced the Board members and staff in attendance.
A moment of silence for passed members and Board members, was held.
The minutes of 2016 AGM were read by secretary, Ann Pratt. Motion to approve the minutes as read, by Lillian Orr, seconded by Helen Strachan. Carried.
Treasurer’s_report given by Roland Mitchell.
Resolution #1. “Resolved that the draft annual financial statements for the yearending June 30, 2017, as presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Wilson Centre Seniors’ Advisory Association on October 18, 2017, be approved by the members”, moved approved by Ian Follis. Seconded by Bruce Hansen. Motion carried.
Resolution #2. “Resolved that F. K. Chan & Company be appointed as the independent accountant for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018 and that the members approve F. K. Chan & Company to perform a notice to reader engagement for that fiscal year.” moved approved by Ian Follis. Seconded by Juanita Franco. Carried.
Coordinator’s report given by Rob Sullivan, Adult/Access Services Coordinator. Motion to accept coordinator’s report made by Juanita Franco, seconded by Margaret Burgess. Motion carried.
Elections conducted by Rob Sullivan.
Anne Huntley was nominated for president and won by acclamation for another two year term
Joan Gould was nominated to the position of vice president and won by acclamation for a two year term.
Juanita Franco was renominated for a Director’s position on the Board and won by acclamation to another two year term.
Anne Huntley moved, and seconded by Margaret Burgess, “That nominations be closed. Motion carried.
Karen Dobson and Lynn McKenzie were nominated to be Board Directors and won by acclamation for two year terms.
