WILSON CENTRE SENIORS’ ADVISORY ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
OCTOBER 14, 2015-10-14
Meeting was called to order at 1205 with a membership of 45 present, by president, Bruce Hansen.
Bruce welcomed the membership present, introduced the attending Board members and asked for a moment of silence to remember the members who have passed during the year.
A motion was made by Roland Mitchell to allow Bruce to conduct the Annual General Meeting. Seconded by Margaret Laxton. Motion carried.
Minutes of the 2014 AGM were read by secretary, Ann Pratt. A motion to approve the minutes as read was made by Leila Rodriguez, seconded by Laion Ki Lee. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Roland Mitchell.
“Resolved that the draft annual financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2015, as presented to the Annual General Meeting by approved by the members”, moved by Marg Gordon and seconded by Ian Follis. Motion carried.
“Resolved that F.K. Chan & Company be appointed as the independent accountant for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, and that the members approve F.K,. Chan & Company to perform a notice to reader engagement for that fiscal year”, moved by Marg Gordon, seconded by Pearl Phillips. Motion carried.
Coordinator’s report given by Rob Sullivan. Motion to accept the coordinator’s report by Elisabeth Lee, seconded by Pearl Phillips. Motion carried.
Bruce addressed the membership, thanking them and the Board members and A the staff for their support during his four and a half years in office. Bruce won’t be seeking reelection.
Voting for vacant Board positions will be conducted by Larry Wheeler for the 29th successive year.
A motion by Roland Mitchell and seconded by Marg Gordon that there may be more than two members filling a Board Committee. Motion carried.
All positions are for two year terms.

Active Living-Joan Gould and Marg Gordon by acclamation
Ways and Means-Lillian Orr by acclamation.
Arts and Culture- Lina Genier and Heather Timberlake by acclamation.
Communication-Juanita Franco and Margaret Burgess by acclamation.
Thank you again Larry Wheeler for a job well done.
The drawing for ten ten dollar coffee cards were done by Larry Wheeler and Rob Sullivan.

Meeting adjourned at 1245 and members were invited to have free coffee and cookies.
