This will be my last post as a WCSAA Board member. For the last year and a half I have served as acting president – a position in which I had no previous experience. My thanks to my fellow Board members for keeping me on track, especially to our Treasurer who has been a fount of excellent information.
As you are aware, our Wilson Seniors programs have all started and despite a number of glitches are well attended. Thanks to all the brave souls who have had to put up with the lack of parking, especially for those with mobility issues.
Our Wilson Seniors city staff, Chris, Carmel, Amanda have my gratitude for putting up with having to move equipment from one side of the building to another to accomodate the number of participants in certain programs. And to Sam who has opened a kitchen with equipment missing. Thank you.
The old Complex is 90% demolished and the old Terry Fox library is on its way to be torn down. The statue has been removed to a safe temporary place. It is so sad to see our old place going, going………
I will be watching this site for upcoming events and I hope you will too. Keep safe.
Thank you Joan for your service. It has been a pleasure working with you.
Joan
enjoy your “retirement”. Good working with you.
